If the call came up as private or blocked on your phone, then it also showed up in the cell phone company's network the same way. Unfortunately because of signal bouncing between towers, most cell phones are not able to block private or blocked numbers. No amount of searching will find it, henceforth private. If you are getting several of these calls and they are harrassing, then I would suggest changing your mobile number. If they do not leave a message, then it could be a telemarketer or something that somehow got your number. If you do not know who they are, you could always answer and find out.

Call the phone company and block private numbers, then they have to release the number to call at all.

Even if you get the call traced for harrassment, the police or phone company would not release the information unless the person was charged.

you can block people from calling you with a private number, that way the only way they can call you is if they unblock it.
