The skin under the eyes is thinner than the surrounding skin. As we age the skin becomes less elastic. Combine that with gravity and these thin areas begin to droop. There is a shelf full of products in every pharmacy, attesting to the need to address this condition. None of them is an instant fix. Most apply a moisture barrier topically. And hydration is the key to improving the appearance of sagging skin. But the hydration from within is far more effective than applying it to the skin. So drinking more water does make sense. Also, at night before bed, cleanse your face and apply petroleum jelly (not Vasaline). In the morning wash with a very mild soap. This will help. Don't even think of surgery in this delicate area.

A slice of raw potato placed underneath your eyes for about 20 minutes each day works. Apparently models use erm hamorroid cream Preparation H, but I’ve never actually tried this. It’s supposed to get rid of the redness and bring down swelling. I’d try the potatoes 1st!

Don't hit the sack?

Seriously though, drink more water and get at least 8 hours sleep a night.

I would guess you sleep on your stomach, mostly - those do not favour people who sleep on their back.

There are eye creams aplenty to help alleviate that (I use Oriflame, but there are a multitude of options).

Also, an easy way, is to make green tea, two teabags, and when you take the teabags, while they are still hot, place them on your eyes (when you are lying down, on your back) and keep them about ten minutes (by that time the teabags would have cooled down). The efect is really good.

are you getting enough sleep. that is a big factor.

also, when you are dehydrated, you could get certain bloated areas of the body. It will make your skin healthier also.

try one of those eye cover shaped things that go in the fridge. Then you can sleep with it for a while to take down the swelling in that area

try elevating the head of your bed, slightly. Try a few inches, with wooden blocks . It can keep the fluids from pooling.
