I am fully credentialed to teach P.E.

I have the opportunity to teach P.E. at a high school that is 30 minutes away. It is a job that I could keep for the rest of my career should I chose. It starts at $37,762 a year.

The other job is teaching science at a charter school. It is five minutes away. In order to keep this job I would need to go back to school, while I work, and take a few science classes. It starts at 43,683.

You have to look in your heart of hearts to see what you really want.
Most people would take the higher paying job and not be full filed.
But only you know what you really want. It help to talk about it with as many people as you can and you will eventually answer your own question.

Take the job as a science teacher, it's closer (gas is expensive now), there's more money, and going back to school taking some classes will look good on your resume if you decide to move to another city. Maybe they will pay for your classes. But.....it also depends on which class you would prefer teach.

I strongly recommend you choose based on what subject you'd really love to teach and the type of kids that you'd like to teach it to. I've seen many teachers retire at 40 for burn out. They didn't like either the subject, the school, the type of kids (sad). I do wish you the best of luck.

Take the first one, if you do more school while you have job security, then you can look for another job plus you would spend more than the difference in salary and time at school.

Go with the public school
Why? Cause you'll be able to see more kids and have more chances to maybe inspire them to go on and do good or great things

It may call for your continuation at the school, but its gud for you.
