It depends
Strength - "tsuyosa" - 強さ
Strength (power) - "chikara" - 力
Strength (real ~) - "jitsuryoku" - 実力
But I think everyone has a point - if you don't know what it looks like, why do you want it.
Something else to bear in mind - culturally, Japanese characters can mean many things, just because you read it one way doesn't mean a Japanese person will see the same.
I live in Japan - and I see "English" tatoos. Believe me it's NOT cool.
It's the same with clothes - the other day I saw a Junior High School student wearing a T-shirt with a picture of a cute chicken. Above the chicken it said
"I (heart) cock to waking up in the morning." - I think she thought it said I love chickens!

There are two words for this in Japanese:
Strength (vigor): tsuyosa
Bodily strength: tairyoku
What you probably want is the word for "strong" - again, there's some choices:
tsuyoi (posessive form of the word above)
joobu na (a phrase meaning ' hard to break')
kenkoo na (healthy)
daijoobu na (reliable)
These words don't directly translate. You would be better off to get a tattoo of something you understand. Yahoo would not properly display the characters in my answer, so I can't put them, sorry. There's three ways to write all these words too... there is a kanji (chinese character) for each of these words, and there are the hirigana and katakana forms as well.

You don't even know how to spell "koi" fish. You should find out what the Japanese symbol is for "moron".

Don't you think it's silly to want a tattoo of something when you don't even know what it looks like?

Since you don't know what it looks like, maybe you should try coming up with an original representation of strenth for your tattoo.
