No in the long run, both are still cheating by not doing the homework himself - an personally i think the second one is worse because at least the first one was honest with themselves.

Both are lazy. The purpose of homework is to practice or study the material. Just by doing research, one learns a whole lot about an issue / problem.
Number 1 will suffer the consequences when he/she takes the next exam because he/she simply doesn't know the material.
Number 2 thinks it's not necessary to practice it. If he knows the material, he/she can just complete the assignment and be done in a matter of minutes.
I think answers is there to give tips or help if someone cannot solve the problem after they've given it an honest shot themselves, not to do the homework for people.

Neither of them are correct, you are both lazy and should get off your backsides and research your own homework. You could ask for tips on how to find the information but having someone else do it for you is no better than cheating.

Well I would question the reliability of some of the idiots that answer, so they really shouldn't try to solve homework problems on here. They should pay more attention is school.

My thinking? Neither is very correct. A bloke should do his own work! The second fellow, however is worse-he knows he can do it, yet he didn't.- That seems more wrong to me somehow.

doesn't sound like either of them learned anything.
there is not a "more" correct or "more" ethical position in the scenario you proposed.
