i am impressed with farmar's basketball skills, he has the athleticisim and playmaking abilities to be a good point guard in the nba... the sad thing is he will play alongside the most selfish ballhog in the league and that would just hamper his development... just look at kwame, lamar and andrew bynum...all 3 showed no progress while playing for the lakers... it is a pity...

Absolutely not. unless they trade #24 Kobe Bryant no one can help the Lakers. Don't get me wrong Jordan Farmar is an exceptionally good player being so young but him actually contributing to the team i don't know.

Quite possible. I see him as the point guard version of Luke Walton, who overachieved in the Lakers triangle offense. I still hope they don't trade Smush. Yes he had a meltdown in the playoffs but he has been very consistent the last two seasons. And if you remember, another young point guard, Leandro Barbosa melted down in last years playoffs, and look what happened this year.

Unless he can give Kobe better head than Phil Jackson, there will be no contribution to the strength of the Lakers.

not in his first year! the lakers are notorious for dismissing new talent to the end of the bench regardless of whether or not their ability suggests otherwise. but, ya, down the line i think he has tremendous potential. i think he definitely needs to work on his shooting and on ball defense, but that is not uncommon among incoming rookies. farmar brings alot to the table, and the sooner big phil realizes his ability and potential the better off los angeles is.

I think he will, but like any other rookie, the feeling is not the same playing college and NBA! He needs time to be familiar with the triangle offense. Other than that, great assest to the team! GO LAKERS! 06-07 CHAMPS! lol

I think so. He has good skills and was coached well at UCLA. A lot will depend on Kobe's ability to co-exist with him.
