I need to know 3 ways that Aristocrats had a postive influence on European society. If anyone knows one.

yes, I've seen the movie Valmont. It was wonderful.

Ummm yes, but I don't remember that. However, from a class I had I believe part of the answer to your question is one, contribution to the job market (the cost of keeping up appearances). Two, the aristocracy provided a structure to society that provided solace much like nationalism/patriotism today. OHHHH, sponsorship of the arts and the rebirth of SOME education (sallons, poet laureates, artist patronage). You might have an easier time asking people about Dangerous Liasons, I believe it is another version of Valmont. If I am wrong I apologize.

They established etiquette
They financed culture
and, they enforced order on an otherwise unstructured society.

What that has to do with Valmont is besides me. He was a gigolo who lived off of woman who lied off of rich parents. He kept record of his exploits which once revealed destroyed many people's dirty little secrets. But he was an aristocrat for what that is worth.
