If you believe in "God", then you should know that "God" gave you a choice -- just like everyone else. You make yours, and they make theirs. Liberals can't ruin Christianity, only Christians could ruin Christianity. Please stop spreading hatred and jealousy around.

Its the society we live in. Society says to be pro-self, think of yourself, then bf/gf, then friends, then others. People want to be accepted and loved, but what they don't realize as a Christian that's not what your signing up for, in fact just the opposite, prepare for discrimination.
Looking for acceptance, confused Christians and others look towards society to see what everyone else is, and follow. Although we are all guilty of it at some point, those who follow the "trends" like being gay is alright, its just "personal preference" right; do set a bad example for Christians. But this is nothing new, its been happening before we were born and obviously Christianity is still around, and so are the "trends."
I don't think there is anything wrong with divorce only if you have tried everything to make it work or if one partner is abusive in any way, and many other conditions I won't go into here. Also I believe being gay is a choice, not an illness or preference.
People will always follow, just as people will always sin, the only thing we can do is try to set ourselves apart, pray and hope.

Liberals have ruined Christianity? I think your committment wasn't too strong to begin with. Christianity is not a political group you join to be with people who think the same way you do. Christianity is about a relationship with God. You should be a bit more humble in how you approach God.
As to your question, well, some place more and some less emphasis on the Bible as God's Word. The term "Christianity" is a very large term covering a wide range of beliefs.

In Christianity, sex outside of the man-woman relationship, in marraige, is sin. So is homosexuality, lying, cheating, lust after a woman in your heart.
I agree as someone else said, it is about choice, but i think the God of the Bible sees sin as sin, no matter the sin as defined in the Bible.
Certainly, there are some sins more serious against others , that harm kids and loved one.
It is interesting tho, that as Christians we look to old testament leaders as examples, when they themselves had sins , not faults, in their life. The only true example is Jesus.
C.S. Lewis defined Love in terms of Agape, Storge, Phileo and Eros. Sexual sins concerns Eros.
Happily, even homosexuals can repent or change. The apostle Paul acknowledged that some of the Corinthians were formerly homosexuals (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). God will forgive any sin for which a sinner will repent (1 John 1:5-10). God also forgets the sins that he forgives (Hebrews 8:12; 10:17).

Thankfully, there is no one 'true' source of Christanity.
Many people say the Bible is the source, but the problem with that is that there is no 'one' Bible. In fact there are litterally thousands of different bibles made different by copying and copying sources and having lots of inconsistencies.
There is also the decision of what to put in the Bible, and what to take out. Our current contents of our Bible was decided by King James working from texts decided on by a Roman Emporer.
Instead, many Christains look at the mass of writings and form their own conclusions and beliefs. For example, many reject revleations as a fairy tale (or comic book as we would say today) with 4 headed monsters breathing fire (thus my moniker, 'angelwith4faces'). Many people rather think Christanity is about loving your enemy and bringing peace into the world.

Liberals haven't ruined anything. It is your own hangup doing that.
Why should it matter at all what other people believe or do?
If you were a true christian, surely your own teachings tell you that forgiveness is one of the most fundamental gifts of Christianity!
All this nonsense about Gods Law! It doesn't exist! It is mans law! THe Bible was written by people, not god.

Dear truechristian...
if you believe in a religion, what makes you do so? It is basically bacause you believe in GOD not the human, right? So why would you leave a religion because of his follower's act? I think you have judged a religion from a wrong angle. God had set his words and guidance in the bible, but people tends to interprete it in their own way to suit their way of life, thinking and personality.. and no man is perfect, and remember, in bible God say HE knows everythings you do even every thought occurs in your mind, and at the end of the day we each have to answer HIM for our acts and everything...and HE will then judge..
Don't miss your focus=)

Christianty is one of those religions that is commonly believed to be "easy" to be in due to the lack of alot of rituals i.e. Muslims pray 5 times a day and others I don't remember, Catholics can't use birth control, and have to go to a church to repent. That's just to name a few. Some people that don't exactly believe in God call themself Christian and go to church once in a while just in case, while not adhearing to any of it's guidlines.
And I agree with what you said about "Christian Gays" I mean I say something on the web about Christian Churches for Gays. I thought that was one of the most blasphemous things I have ever seen.

as far as divorce, God divorced Israel in Isaiah chapter 3.
as far as gays - it was listed in the old testament among the laws of sexuality that also included no incest, no cheating on your spouse, etc. none of these were unpardonable sins.
liberals haven't ruined Christianity - the Master's teachings and the master's Words remain the same no matter who spins them which way - right or left.
don't let any of this get in the way of your relationship with God - especially the selfish, uninformed spins of mankind. that's why God divorced Israel in the first place.

Hold fast to personal values. Many folks "claim" to be Christian-yet have never opened a Bible. Romans 1 clearly indicates
the "wrongness" of being gay, and a multitude of other sins. We must be constantly reminded that we need to change our ways to suit God's Word-NOT change God's Word to suit our ways.
Those who would "modify" God's word will read their "destiny"
in the last Chapter of Revelations. Yes, the Bible was "written by man"--but "divinely inspired by God"---big difference from "freelancing". Divorce IS permitted (adultery) in the N.T,but
those "divorced" must remain unmarried (U only get one chance)
