It will end when we find intelligent extraterrestrial life. Mideast tensions are based on God, proving God doesn't exist will end this babbling. BUt it will not end all war. The US is doomed to the fate of the mideast, having conflicts instead dealing with politics. Right vs. Left will reduce our country down to the disaster that is the MidEast.

Actually, proving that God /does/ exist will end the babbling, especially if he makes his opinion clear on the subject. All we've got now is a bunch of idiots claiming that they know what God wants.
If we actually found extraterrestiral life, my guess is the world would get back to normal within 6 months just like after the 911 bombings. I don't think anything like that is going to change human nature. Unless of course the ET's put their foot down, just like God. Then we might listen to them.
The middle east conflict between Jews and Arab Muslims, as much as people like to talk about it being an ancient thing, is really only 50-150 years old. Before that Jews and Muslims got along just fine in the middle east. They were brothers and their common enemy was the Christians. That and the locusts, droughts, famine. These things run their course. It could be 5 years, it could be another 100, but sooner or later it will pass and the world will have different problems on its hands.

If neither side believed in God there would still be land to fight over. This war in not religious it is over land and wealth. It is starting to look like a general war is the only thing that will come form the middle east. Check out the Book of Revelations.
