unless you are in a serious relationship and it is a special occasion, the red roses are a little contrived. To some extent, they say, "look at how much money I spent on you."
There are lots of other great flower choices that would really express your personality, feelings, and thoughtfulness better on most occasions. Any good florist will help you make the right selection, or you can go to the local farmer's market where they tend to have a better selection and much better prices.
I would say either go with something very simple and elegant, like tulips, or get a small variety or flowers that you think look good together. I would be careful abotu flowers that are too perfumy because of allergies.

all women love it, just 4 the thought of it but it all depends on your woman, if shes into money then yea roses but most women like something different, something they know u put real real real thought into, find out her fav flower and go with that if u wanna win big.

flowers are always best to be sent to the workplace...then you get to show off to your friends. i'm with the other woman who would prefer something that doesn't die...like jewelry! if it's red roses from somebody i wasn't interested in though, i would give them away to somebody else or donate them to a hospital or nursing home patient who had nobody to send them flowers.

Love flowers.. but my favs are Purple Roses.. but im not picky id take Red too lol..

Practical-minded ones don't. They would more like Presents that would come in use. Thoughtful and romantic girls do appreciate red roses, because it deepens their passion and trust for their men.

Me- on my 36 birthday my hubby gave me 3 dozen. (It was by way of a I am truly sorry for forgetting about Christmas. ( He'd waited to shop until Dec 24 about 10 pm- the only thing he could find open was the grocery store.)
