I saw the movie Paradise Now where two Palastinian men decide to blow themselves up in Israel. One goes through with it while the other pulls out at the last minute.

Being in Baghdad I can assure you that cowardice is NOT the case. It is a tool of terror. How do you call a man a coward who willingly gives up his life to achieve his goal no matter how futile that effort may be.
The largest problem with a suicide bomber theory is that they can never live to fight another day which is the tool of wise warrior.
Foolish.Yes. Cowards. No.

No. They are not cowards. It is the only way for them to get revenged of the hell they got from the Israelites.

But they are foolish to commit the act as their leader just told them so. Some are wise enough for their family's welfare for the money they receive out of their act and at the same time had their revenge.

Suicide bombers are full of hatred towards Israelites and they are even getting worst as their source of livelihoods are destroyed.

Suicide bombing is not unique to the Palestine, it had been practiced during world war II.

I do not think they are cowards, Palestinians have no weapons what so ever, no tanks, no planes, no missiles, and their people and children are being killed every single day in Gaza and the west bank, don't they have the right to defend themselves like Israel is doing now? but with what? how can they fight back? why can't you see the other side of the story, all they have is stones they run after the tanks trying to hit it, I am not say ing that I agree with suicide bombing in the world, but in the case of Palestine this is the only way to fight back.

Off course not.
The one who presents his life to defined his country and his people from occupation can never be considered a coward, specially if his life is the only thing he has.
What do you expect from a young man will do to the killers of his mother sister or his brother or son.
I think no human will do this if he does not have strong a reason.

It takes alot of guts to end one's life in a quick instant without hesitation. While I definately believe any form of suicide is incorrect, I do believe that cowardice can be ruled out as a possible quality of suicide bombers.

I believe that the clerics who manipulate these people into blowing themselves up are the real cowards. You won't see them crawling out of their hiding places to commit suicide.

Thats a tough question. For that matter is commiting suicide cowardly? Suicide involves bravado in taking you own life, and cowardliness and selfish in not being able to face life and bringing grief and despair to your loved ones. But a suicide bomber is taking his/her life for his/her country (usually). So maybe it is brave of them, though I find it the most despicable way of attacking your enemy.

Well, I wouldn't say cowards. How many others would take their lives for their beliefs? Not a cowardly act - an immoral and seemingly insane one, certainly!

.

Each for their own personal reasons is exchanging their assured eternal existence with an act of ultimate good. The ultimate good being helping destroy this existence so the better one can rise from the ashes. I don't know if it comes down to cowardice or to belief or mix of both.

Whatever you think of suicide bombers, I don't think you can call them cowards. They do what they do *knowing* they'll die. That's a lot of things, but cowardly isn't one of them.

Now, those who *send* suicide bombers, that's a whole other kettle of fish.
