Jimmy Carter was too impotent to free the 66 U.S. citizens held captive for 444 days by the ayatollah and his mob.
He will never, ever have my respect as a president for that abject failure. One of the lowest points of U.S. foreign policy, ever.

I have the "guts" to say that Jimmy Carter's pardoning of the Vietnam War draft dodgers was a disgrace to all who served in that war. Allowing Americans to be held hostage by Tehran for 444 days was also a disgrace. Jimmy Carter is a fine human being and a great humanitarian but he was not a good president. He was in over his head and was elected because he was the Democratic candidate and we had to get those Republicans out of the White House.

Jimmy Carter was a good president!
He had some rough circumstances to work with, but at least he didn't send the country hurtling into debt like Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.

Absolutely, he went through his entire presidency without dropping a single bomb and that takes a lot of guts. It probably cost him the second term but, like Bush Sr. and the tax hike, its an example of someone doing the right thing and not caring about the political consequences.

Nope. It was because of Jimmy Carter we failed the first attempt to rescue hostages in Iran. Under Reagan though, we succeeded his first try.

I would say Carter was a good pres., He was honest, and I think that the only reason that he didn't get reelected is because Reagan F$#@ed him over.

Yes, I do. I thought he was kinda dorky, but what the heck, he didn't get caught in the oval office getting... ahem or get us into a war... His son is running for senator here in Nevada and I'm going to vote for him.
