There are some things that you can do to help you sleep better and longer...

1. Always sleep and wake up at the same time. Since we are creatures of habit, your body will adapt fast in this regular schedule of yours.

2. Do not sleep in. Even if you slept late, wake up at your regular wake up time so as to not disrupt your body's internal clock. You may want to take short naps later in the day.

3. Never do your work in bed. Or else your body will associate your bed with work and being awake.

4. Shut off all the lights! The night is dark for a reason... Light=awake; dark=asleep.

----

5. If all else fails, you may want to try this sleeping pill that is all natural, not habit forming, and is actually found in the body: MELATONIN.

---
Good luck... hope you'll have good zzzs next time!

i never had too much trouble falling asleep. when i did a glass of milk usually helped so felt full and the blood went to my stomach to assist in digestion. also, if you sleep with a tv or radio on it will actually cause you more problems because of the flashing lights and the noise.

Lavender essential oil works for me - it has notoriously relaxing properties. Try sprinkling some on your pillow before you lie down - a beautiful smell and a good night's sleep!
