Trying to be a hero?
War is a normal part of being human. So there will always be enough young guys out of high school wanting to put their life on line to prove their patriotism and loyalty toward their country.

This is one of those 1960's questions that so fascinated me. The logic is impeccable, but the reality is like modern answers to physics questions. Go Figure!
