Absolutely. This is not only a matter of gender equality, but more of being humane. I believe that we should not put any borders of difference between man and woman. If we all have purpose on society and have its own responsibilities, this should not mean that we would discriminate each other from doing a task that is only prevalent to men or women only.

I totally agree. We have come along way as a country with equal rights and equal pay. I believe some companys are having a difficult time excepting it. However I do not agree with companys being forced to interview and sometimes fill jobs strictly because their diversity is not what someone decided it needs to be. If a person is qualified for a job no matter what their race, sex or religion who gets the job? Thats the million dollar question.

I totally agree that they should receive the same pay, but it's sad that this is not true in every company in every country. The 'Old Boy' network mentality still is a strong governing factor for promotions. Men in positions that they shouldn't be in and women being the first to be released when there are downsizing going on. There is still much work to be done to change businesses in the way that they manage people, but you have to admit that they have come a long way since 1960.

Do you know of any women doing "the same work and....as good as a man" who are not getting the same pay ? I know a lot of women who work for a number of different companies and every single one of them gets exactly the same pay as the guy sitting at the desk next to them or standing on the assembly line next to them. I have often said that just once I would like to meet one of these women that the libs are always complaining about who do not get the same pay.

ofcourse, without saying, there is no distinction or differentiation between man and a woman, in this century. a day is going to come where only women will rule the whole world, it is not that woman can and able to do the same work, but she does it excellentyly well than a man, that has been widely agreed and acknowledged by one and all, look at all women who have succeeded in that, go ahead and break all nonsense rules.

Sure, however a reality check will show you that for the same typo of job with the same succesful results you will have:
- White people earn more than minorities
- Men earn more than women
- Tall people, earn more (do you think I'm joking? Statistics proof this. Look at executives average height and you'll be surprised)
- People with degrees earn more than without degrees and experience of years (for the same job I'm saying).
It's sad, but tha's the reality. I hope this will change in the future, but I've no big trust in the myspace generation.
