Could this be a past life experience? Ive never experience a tornado before.

With all we see on TV and hear on the news, it's no wonder you have nightmares. In the past several years there have been so many disaster, it's hard to count them.Maybe talk to a counselor or your pastor about these fears, sometimes just talking about it helps. God bless! LOL

Storms can be frightening. And having seen a couple of tornadoes myself, you have a very valid fear. However, anything that is relatively benign (like a thunderstorm) should not be allowed to conquer you to the point of panic attacks. Realize that you are perfectly safe inside your house, and try looking outside at the weather and finding it to be a beautiful thing.
I guess it always could be a past-life experience. Do you have similar deja-vu about other things? Maybe in a past life you lived in Kansas...

I suffer from the same thing, when it storms i get really scared and expecially if there is a tornado watch or warning i flip out. it seems to have gotten worse the older i get. the nightmares are bad too. i think i'm going to talk to my doctor about anxiety medication that i can take because it interferes with my ability to function when the weather gets stormy.

tornadoes are scary. but are you sure that is where your anxiety is stemming from? i only ask b/c something very traumatic happened to me 6 years ago, and i was diagnosed with post traumatic stress, i had anxiety attacks, panic attacks....and it affected me in soooooooo many ways. one of which was i developed a fear of flying---which is totally UNrelated to what happened to me and i was never afraid of flying before.

Past life? Uh, no. It's called Modern Age Information Access.
Storms don't bother me, though I've been through a few tornadic ones. They can be harrowing.
