It is an ami bios. Is there a site I can go to to download something to a floppy drive and reboot the computer?

My first question is why in the world would you *want* to install a 10Gb drive. That's really ancient.

Anyhow, your best bet is to go to the website for your motherboard manufacturer and see if they have updated bios you can download and install. The website will have directions on what you need to do.

Here's their website: http://www.ami.com/support/bios.cfm

Be sure to figure out your exact model number. You don't want to flash the wrong bios. That would be bad.

hi there bro... well no worries.. though old motherboard can only 'view' ur 10gb hard disk as 8.4gb even in LBA mode, your OS will take care/handle the rest..

just fix your 10gb hard disk that way, install ur OS and your OS will be able to detect your 10GB hard disk original capacity. its only in the bios where it will see it as 8.4GB...

i installed a 250GB hdd on a pentium2 300Mhz and it works fine. the bios sees it as 8.4gb but when the OS loads, it is 'viewed' as 250Gb so no worries bro..
