Right now we have 6.5 billion people on earth, and the number keeps growing. One-third of the population are in china and india combined. We never had a census until like the 20th century or so, so to estimate to population in the 1400's would be pretty wrong. But I'm sure it was a lot less. North America had nothing more than native americans in the 1400's So I'm sure it would be less than half of what we have today
