I see your point, although someone will tell you it's politically incorrect! I see it this way; Racism has become a natural human conditioning-we are often afraid of things different, or very anxious about how we should act around different ppl, settings. This I think is a natural human behavior. HOWEVER:- To go and Act poorly on this inclination is what is really incorrect. Feeling racist is not a fault, but acting racist IS. It is one of those tendencies we need to correct in ourselves and overide with our common sense and decency.

I think that it is very wrong to be racist. Because I got several colored friends and I really love them and they are good people! Some people put the colored down and say how evil they are, so, isn't there some evil white people! We don't have one brick to throw! So we should realize that they are human like everyone else and they have also feelings, and they should have a chance.
I got a friend, he had a hard time growing up because when he even walked into a store the managers would always had their eyes on him, only because of his color. He grew up quite insecure, but now he's a well known man and a bail-lift in out county!

I think racism is one of the mankind's weakness. It is one of the many others forms of discrimination. It always existed even in the most primitive ways and Times. The human bean have always tried from civilizations to civilizations to prove its superiority over this or that people, all in order to control and gain power, not because there is a superiority race among all.
The last example the world saw a men trying to gain control over the world was Hitler and again with a very old excuse racism.
A superior race should rule the world over the inferior race...We all know this has been used for centuries, when isn't race is religion and vice verse.
Today Hitler is an example of a sick and a crazy mind, meanin racism is something that belongs to weak people like Hitler.
The most important thing we should know about racism it is a sign of insecurity over someone else. If a person can't find eligible way (intelligence, beauty, gift, etc..) to show its superiority its appeals to the race.
But the american tv and media supports a lot racism between americans. A movie called "white people can't play bascketball" or wherever I don't even remember the name of the movie it's pure racism. I saw an interview with Lanny Kravitz and the jornalist or reporter asked him if for how long a black men playing rock will be able to keep on the market? His asnwer whicth I think couldn't be better was "I didn't know music has color, I never seem the color of any music". The media in USA educates people to be racist, isntead to send a positive message. This way people gets separated by sports, music and many others things because the racism has been inserted inside everything.
Maybe I get upset with that because I am not originally from here. The first time I heard that white people can't dance, I was with my ex-boyfriend after had asked him to come dance with me...when he said "I am white guy I can't dance" I thought my english was still weak than I insisted and he said again the same thing..."what has to do a race with dance?". Now white people can't even enjoy to dance anymore? I am latin from Brazil, like here we have people from all races, from my group of friends, the one whom better dances between all of us is the one whom have german background...my italian background didn't do a thing to do the samba better than her neither to another friend arabic's background. The blond one shakes and dances much mcuh better than all of us together, included a black one too.
I am not saying we don't have racism in Brazil but people there are more aware about it weakness meaning than here, most doesn't want to show being weak by being racism so they tend to hide it or overcome it, but racism is smothing that exist and will be always exist because it is a weak part of the competitive natures of human kind.

What is RACE? A person's race/ color comes from the country where their parents and/or grandparents and/or great grandparents were born.

It seems silly to me to be uncomfortable with someone just because their Great Great grandmother and grandfather were from another country.

Reverse this question:

Do you think it is okay for others to be uncomfortable around you because of your skin color?
What if these things happened to you because another person felt uncomfortable with your skin color:

people expect you to be smart/ dumb
people expect you to be trouble/violent/criminal
a person you ask out won't go JUST b/c of color
you are not given a fair chance by teacher/boss

Racism is an ugly trait. I cannot help it. I am racist to some extent myself.

I am uncomfortable around black people in general.

I have had black friends, and I'll be damned if they weren't nice guys. But I find black people that I don't know more intimidating than white people. Which leads me to have that uneasy fear about them. Which in turn creates racism.

I don't hate black people.
The difference between me and other racists is even though I am uncomfortable around them. I respect them as much as they respect me. Enough said.

Yeah i think it does exist around the globe and it's bad. I mean come on whats the differance between a black and a white guy just the skin. We all are human and we must be treated all in the same manner. Because of racism many black people end up in streets without jobs.

There's a wonderful quote I ran across when I was researching information for a paper, but unfortunately, I do not remember who said it.

"There are no races, only racism."

Personally, I liked it in Bulworth when he said, "All we need is a voluntary, free-spirited, open-ended program of procreative racial deconstruction. Everybody just gotta keep ***** everybody 'til they're all the same color."

It's an unfortunate part of human nature to be afraid of what we don't understand. If you are uncomfortable around certain people, try talking to them and understanding them. Underneath our skin we're all the same.

It is bad when it turns into hatred and violence. If you don't like my color I could personally care less, but if you don't my color and you harass me then yeah that is bad.

But racism will only tear you down. You don't have to marry them or anything, but why hate them?

I for one am not racist in any way. I don't see how the color of you skin makes you worse or better then me. But to each his own.

Being uncomfortable with other races and being racist are not the same thing. And just because something is so widespread doesn't mean that it's acceptable.
