my friend is going to new york city permanently (brooklyn) she's never been to other countries before and i heard the crime rate is really high. is nyc really a good place to migrate for an asian?

she's gonna continue her studies there. yes, good financial support but i fear that she is nice.. too nice. people might take advantage of her and i dont think its easy to adjust to the "big apple".

Only if you have good financial support and possibility of employment. Very expensive cost of living. NYC has the largest Asian population of any US City. Areas around Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle also have successful Asian populations.
Really depends on the type of environment your friend wishes to live in and the career desired.

well, it dependson where in Brooklyn she is moving to.
Like most of the places here in NY, it has places that range from rich to dirt poor.

If your cousion loves inflated taxes, assholes, and the some of the world's proudest (most ignorant) citizens, then your friend will love NYC.

heck no she needs to come on down to the south,I would'nt even let any of my family visit there right now.Alot of new yorkers are moving south.
