It's not a matter whether one likes it or not. It's there and you can't stop it.

I bet almost everyone has downloaded mp3s and videos and has burned them on a cd.

So what you gonna do about it. You could check on anyone and find something. Why not check a whole student dormitory and get them all to prison. They'd probably all have illegal stuff on their computer. And such a case would scare other people.

If I'd really hate someone, I'd just go to the police and say, he's got illegally downloaded stuff on his computer. They'd find something.

That's so silly. If hollywood really has losses due to p2p, how about adjusting the actor's salaries a bit. They earn way too much anyway.

I just don't understand why SUDDENLY this is a big issue. Where I'm from, we encourage people to read and have these buildings everywhere that will give you the books to take home so you can read more :) But seriously, why is a library expected but p2p considered a plague ruining society? I personally, get and give my new music that way.

It will filter out garbage, it will reach people faster and because of this people will be able to decide quicker, and it will expand horizons because of the variety available, now you can sample music the world over, and with bills like the DMCA it's exactly what the doctor ordered.

Its also a pilot program for what future generations will come to know as the "net". It will also reshape corperate attitudes, as new schemes will have to be devised (I love capitalisim) instead of the usual barter system.

And remember its not piracy its backlash.

What's the problem. People know the files the download are illegal and the will get Malware infection. The also risk lawsuits and criminal charges. If they are willing to risk it, I don't care what they do.
