Assuming you have an anti-virus program that you've updated the virus definitions on, do the following:
1. Right click on the "My Computer" icon on your Desktop, click on "Properties", and then on the "System Restore" tab on top.
2. Put a check mark in the box that says "Turn off system restore on all drives", and do that. (The reason for this is that if the virus is infecting past restore points, those restore points will be deleted, which is what you want to do).
3. Click on Start, then "Turn off the Computer", and then the "Restart" choice.
4. When the computer is rebooting, keep tapping the F8 key, which will start the computer in Safe Mode....make that choice, "Safe Mode" from the choices by using the arrow keys to go to that choice, and hit enter.
5. Once Windows is restarted in Safe Mode, NOW run your anti-virus program. It should find the virus and quarantine it.
6. Once that's done, reboot to regular Windows, and then go back to the System Restore choice and UN-check the box to shut off system restore.
Hope this helps.

Without a doubt use NOD32 anti-virus software.
I specialise in virus protection and removal and cannot recommend, the free AVG. Norton or McAfee..
I've used them all and none of them come near NOD32 for detection, speed or cost.
You download a free 30 day fully working trial of NOD32 from www.eset.com
Remember that any anti-virus is only as good as it's last update so make sure you set it to auto update.
If you decide to buy Nod32 it is only £54 for 3 years (pay for two years get one free).
Go here for a list of awards which it has won.
http://www.eset.com/company/awards.php...
Also in my experience those who recommend AVG or Norton have either never heard of or ever installed NOD32.
Run AVG for 30 days and then install it and run NOD32 and you'll be amazed what you find.
Also remember NEVER install and run MORE than ONE anti-virus program at a time.
Best anti-spyware I find is Xoftspy.
Also anyone who thinks that the best feature of a program is that it is free is a complete idiot. You only get what you pay for.

Run your anti-virus program. If you don't have one go to symantec or housecall and run the free virus scan to remove the virus.
