Let's address all these issues:
How to tell when you are in real labor:
Contractions are symmetrical.
Contractions begin at the cervix, move up and around to the back or from the back to the front.
They are regular and occur in a predictable pattern.
They get longer, stronger and closer together.
They do not stop if you change what you are doing and walking may make them more intense.

And again:
Remember to call your doctor if your water breaks, even if you are not having contractions.

Now, as to the pain you are having, if it makes you cry, you need to be checked out. Call your doctor and go to the hospital for a labor check. You were sent home on Friday...this is now early Monday morning. While you were not in labor on Friday, you may be now.

Your baby isn't going to hate you for the pain. You are experiencing the pain...not her. She is snug as a bug.

Now, if your symptoms match the signs of labor above or the pain is making you cry, call your doctor immediately!

It sounds like it may be early labor. I had back labor and it was awful! Just stay calm and relax. Sit down on the couch for a while and be still. Try and concentrate on the back pain and see if it gets worse off and on. If the pain is constant, she could just be sitting on a nerve or just pushing on your tailbone.. If it comes and goes and it may be labor.
Try and time the stomach tightening. You won't always know the very early stages of labor. Sometimes it can be totally painless. But believe me, you will know when it is time to head to the hospital. Just because you were not in labor Friday doesn't mean you aren't today.
If it gets to painful, go ahead and go to labor and delivery and get checked out. You won't be the first or last mother to be sent home if it isn't the real thing. Better safe than sorry. Make sure to explain the pain. It could be a urinary infection or something like that, too.

Good Luck and congrats!!

its because the baby is facing the wrong way. Don't kid yourself, your baby loves you more than she will ever love anybody. try to find a comfortable position, or take a hot bath or shower, that sometimes helps both you and baby relax a bit. And ask your husband to massage your back where it hurts. Good luck with the vaginal delivery. I hope it goes quickly.

EDIT:I forgot something, If the pains are coming in waves, then chances are, itslabour. time them from the end of one pain to the start of the next. if they are less than 5 minutes apart, go to the hospital

Call your hospital now and talk to a nurse and see what they think. I would say you are in the early stages of labor. I had a lot of back pain in all of my labor times.
Good luck and hope all goes well!

Even thought your not dialated, I think your having back labor. You should go to the hospital and have an induced labor. My cousin had the same problem.

Unfortunatley you are going to have to put up with it...I had the same problem. Its just your body getting ready for the main event. Your body is stretched to the limit. Just try and realx...it will be any day

Not sure but it could be baxton hicks or commonly known as back labor. Try getting your partner or someone to give you back rubs and relax as much as possible. It won't be much longer.
