The best thing for burns is strait Aloe lotion.

However, in the future you may wish to purchase a big aloe plant. There is nothing like getting aloe straight from the source, and it works better too. I had a serious burn on my hand from cooking, I tore open a couple of 'vines' (if you will) off the plant and spread the get all over the burn, and it took away the burning and the pain almost instantly.

The plant is great stuff. I highly recommend it.

In your local large retail store or pharmacy, look for sunburn treatments; they're usually stocked together. The best I've found are the ones with aloe vera!! Apply as directed and stay clear of any sun exposure for a couple of days.

If you're avatar is really your picture---you'll want to take very very good care of your skin.

I have to agree w/ Diane26's answer.

An aloe vera lotion will help. Along w/ Noxzema.

I've heard that an oatmeal bath can also soothe the burning, but am not sure if this is true.

Make a cup of strong tea, then soak a washcloth in it and when it cools down apply to the skin. It is instant relief!! Just wear old junky clothes because the tea stains!!

If you like, I will come over and lick whatever part of you is burned. I'd be willing to do this for as long as it takes to soothe you, that's just the kind of guy I am.

if you have aloe you can use that. there are a couple brands that make burn reliefs for sunburns - i know banana boat has one. you can also try vinegar. it sounds weird but thats what i used while living in Florida.

If you are blistering up, you need to go to the hospital. Otherwise you can put an aloe vera based lotion on it, or if you don't have that rub some noxema on it.
