I'm still living at home and I want to move out, but can't. I want to make my mom happy but it seems like nothing helps. My mom and dad are getting really old and tired looking. I don't know what to do? I'm stressed out myself too alot, and suffered major depression and in the beginning of this year, tried to commit suicide. I've recovered so far and trying to make it but it's still pretty hard. I've moved on and hopefully improved myself for the better. I still have issues because i'm a type A person. I get angry or annoyed or get sensitive at the little things. I hope someone out there can help me or give me advice on how to be less stressed and not worry so much about my future and my family's happiness. I worry about my health, and this morning I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

I'm not joking around, but if you are not going to say anything helpful or nice, please out of respect and kindness...just skip this question. I'm serious here but sometimes people don't take me seriously because of my average english skills. And that I used to be really immature, and spoiled, but I've changed, and I've grown up.

"How old are you, where do you come from, and are you an immigrant to a new country?"

I'm 22, I came to America when I was 7, and I would say that I immigrated here from the philippines. so yes, it's hard for me,becaue I was made fun of so much in school too.

Well good, it must feel nice to be making progress. You should be proud that yoiu got your head cleared and that you aren't suicidal anymore.

The best thing I can advise you to do is continue with a good counselor and shrink. It;s important to be able to VERBALIZE your feelings and issues. They become workable once you are able to talk about them- especially with someone who can be OBJECTIVE.

Try to remember that the way you FEEL is a result of the way you THINK- NOT the other way round. Exercise daily to feel healthy, clear your mind and release endorphines. Walking is easy and cheap,

Make a list of goals-short term and long term. Develop a plan and figure out what time frame you will give yourself. Get your parents advise on this.

Remember you are only responsible for your OWN happiness. You can only PROMOTE it in others. Show Mom and Dad that you have a plan, you are working on it and they will see you feeling better. They will take care of themselves.

Believe in yourself- I believe in you.

Since your parents is old, it is best to stay at home. Think positively....no matter what hardship you will get through it cause i got through mind. Your mind have to be strong enoug to control you temper. I use to be hot temper but I learned and try to be patience. Maybe you should go to the homeless centre or spastic centre to look at this kids then you will know how they struggle. We are normal ppl. Then only you can see that whatever hardship you gone through is part of life. Take it as a challenge.

I took it well.Sometimes it will take years...but u must know why u want to move out? Why and what is the reason. Always remember about your expensive and budget yourself too... Are u in Malaysia or other country?
No matter what happen never commit suicide (this is a sin).

Your parents might not agree on what u do but then if you feel your decision is correct to make you a successful person go ahead and prove to them.

Well, dont care what ppl things cause as u know famous ppl will mix with famous ppl. The poor or nurds will be an outsider or will be mistreat.
As long as u r good in your studies and be successful in future then it will benefit you.

Think this way, in future they might even work under u and that prove u are better then them a lot.

Try your best not to worry about things that you don' have control over. It's okay for you to be concerned for your parents out of love but don't let the concern turn to stress and cause you to get so emotionally upset that you dwell on it all the time. I know thi might sound a little wild but I think you should get a dog. Seriously a dog gives you affection, companionship, they look up to you depend on you and make us feel like were not so alone at times. Not only is it healthy to have a dog but it is very relaxing to sit down and softly brush your hands across the dogs fur as you focus and think about nothing else but how soft his fur is. I noticed that you wrote that you have hopefully improved fgor the better. Have confidence in yourself, you must be a great person because if you werent you wouldn't care what anyone else thought. Now you have a good day and when you wake up tomorrow have confidence in yourself, hold your head up and if you have some free time go byt the animal shelter to look at some dogs that need you just as much as you need them!

try to think about why your parents aren't happy. is it because of the issues you have had in the past or because they aren;t feeling as well as they used to. the easiest way to help someone understand that you are different is to so them. help out around the house, find a job and offer to pay for your own things. try to get help on how to control your emotional (i can't really find a good word for it, but i'm sure you understand) outbursts. it will be hard but you need to work on showing people how you feel and talk to them, ask them if you can do anything to help out.

Hey im sorry you are unhappy...but I think sticking to your parents for sometime will help yourself as well as your parents...the best way to overcome depression is to spend time with someone who can make you forget all your tensions...just stay with ur parents..find a friend...go hiking or do anything that interests you...you can also write a diary in which you can pour ur heart...meditate to reduce anger...

Your english is not too bad...dont worry...things will come under control soon..God Bless..
