She thinks she might be pregnant. She squeezed her breast and clear fluid came out. Her menstraution is not late but feels she might be pregnant. Question: Does the small amount of fluid she squeezed out an automatic given that she is pregnant? Or can it be hormonal?

yea usually lactation doesnt begin till the 5th or 6th month...which is called colostrum.....One condition that can produce a milky or clear discharge with out pregnancy is galactorrhoea, where an imbalance of hormones within the body can stimulate secretion. Certain medications may be to blame, particularly those used in treatments for certain psychiatric problems although you are not taking any such things, but thyroid disorders and very occasionally small benign brain tumours of the pituitary gland can lead to milk production.

so you might want to go to the doctors get it checked out

Hormones may be the cause. You don´t mention how old she is, but in my experience, and after giving birth to a couple of kids in early 40's, same thing happened and the Doctor said the reason was due to high level of certain hormone, related to the production of milk.

colastro (I think it's spelled that way) usually comes out a lot later in the pregnancy... so she should be about 7 months or 8 at least... I w/have that checked by a doctor, she may have some hormonal imbalance

This happened to a friend of mine. It turned out she was pregnant, but the doctor told her it could of been one of two things. One a pregnancy with early leakage, which does not happen much. Or early signs of breast cancer, my friend had strong family history of it. Your wife needs to go to the doctor. Hopefully she is pregnant. Early congrats if she is.

It could be hormonal, it could be pregnancy, or it could be an early symptom of breast cancer - or even something else. She should go to her doctor and be sure of what it is. Best wishes to you both!
