Sorry i have no prrof but i have heard this too ....I just tried to research it on the net and there are a lot of conflicting answers but more saying it they do not make you sterile than that they do ...you should research it youself ..interesting question anyway!
What i do know for sure and no i dont have proof is that smoking weed CAN retard your sperm.

proven fact- i checked this out because my bf is a big fan of marijuana and i want kids, any use of it slows your sperm, lowers the count level but not a lot, mainly the big thing it does is confuse your sperm and make it deformed, it wont deform your baby that science can tell thusfar but instead of tadpole looking sperm, it will look like squares and triangles with tales or wiggly circles.
