That's like asking when israel will be recognized by iran.

Pretty much the only thing that will bring peace between them will be:

a) economic/cultural cooperation on some type of enormous, groundbreaking project. Unlikely.

b) joining in the fight against a common enemy. Since they are each others worst enemy, this too, is unlikely.

Isn't it a wonder a country like pakistan which can't fulfill it's basic needs without foriegn aid spends so much on warfare and terrorist camps etc. Why shoud it get funds from US at all???
The answer is..
It started of from the "coldwar era" when the U.S. needed a base in Asia .Al these afgani militants were trained and supplied with arms and ammunition to create unrest in the Russian border..
.Now U.S. is reaping what it's sown...After disintegration of USSR these islamic terrorist organizations have turned against against their mentor ...to fight them US needs some stronghold in the region..So the emergence of PAK as the trusted ally in"fight against terrorism"...HA HA.. as they say "U need a thief to catch a thief"

The problem between India and Pakistan has a simple solution
....US should stop giving aid to Pakistan.
.How can it be so naive??? Their so called ally is neck deep in terrorism..all these terrorist outfits have their roots in Pakistam and strong connection with Islamabad. All the financial and military aid given to Pakistan is being used to support all these outfits. So helping Pak is like helping those so called "Jehadis"

It is unlikely that the mighty U.S. is unawrae of all this.I think all this is just a little part of a bigger gameplan by america so that there is no peace in the region and hence no development ..so that it can mantain it's superpower status..

Isn't it ironical that US is always involved in any conflict anywhere in the world????

Well; not very soon, Pakistan has to stop all those activities intented to damage India's intergrity, all the rulers of Pakistan was always tried / or made efforts to trouble India when ever they have find problems to remain in power b-coz of their internal troubles. Anti Indian comments and activities always helped them to remain in power.

Yes! definitely.it will get resolved when America and china will stop giving military assistance to Pak.Basically Pak population are god fearing and impractical. They tend to make decision either based on sentiments or anger. This can be changed by rampant privatisation. Then they Will be able to make decision based on profit and development. Soon they will realise that they have been wasting their time in trying to snatch Kashmir from India.(Moreover they have lost all battles ansd wars to india !)

It's not really that bad now... they are open to dialogue at least. I think they've become so used to being enemies that they can't really view themselves as anything else... Civilians don't really have 'trouble' these days, but I doubt the gov'ts will ever be able to align themselves. But since some of us are expecting the third world war soon, I guess the answer could be: Not until then!
