Has anyone tried, purchased, seen, or otherwise heard of the AutoCool? Apparently its a solar powered fan that you can put in the window crack of your car and it will keep it cool. However I am skeptical as to whether or not it really works, so I just wonder if anyone knows anything about it.

Nope, it doesn't look worth it at all. All it is, is a small solar powered fan you could probably make from stuff at RadioShack. There is no kind of refrigerant that would actually cool down your car, all it would do is ventilate the air already in your car.

You have a better chance by purchaing one of those sun shades for your front window, that would block the sun from making everything inside your car too hot to touch.

Basically, that little thing only has the power to POSSIBLY make the air temperature inside your car the same as outside. So if you have it in there on a 90 degree day, it will be at least 90 degrees inside your car. The laws of physics wouldn't allow it to actually make the inside of your car cooler without some kind of acting coolant.

I saw the infomercial for it... made me laugh. You know the saying... if it's too good to be true, it probobly is. Get a sun shade and leave your windows cracked. It was 100 degrees in Chicago today, yuck!
