A news report lied about a dog attack, siad it was a pit bull, Iit as come out he knew it was not. He thought if sounded better than the real breed. He did it twice, two families lost thier pets due to this mans lieing. Becasue of the lie the same dog attacked a police man, he shot the dog and then found out it was the one that had been responable for the other attacks and that it was lied about. The only the news man had to say was "At least we got 2 pit bulls put down" The kids who loved and palyed with these dogs are heart broken and the woman whos service dog was put down is now sueing the station and the reporter. But even when a real mistake is made ande they say it was a pit when it was not no one feels the need to tell the truth that a mistake was made and now so many cties have ban a breed that except for some owned by bad owners is a good and loving breed.

What does or no longer it is counted? No information community will ever be appropriate and the abject concern-mongering over Fox purely proves the mentality of those focused on them. It additionally promotes Fox and makes it that particularly extra usual with people who only do no longer purely like the condescension or arrogance they see on MSNBC, CNN, or the different information networks. So it is a information community, how few human beings genuinely watch it as oftentimes because of the fact the bombastic and paranoid hold forth approximately? i could be plenty extra aggravating approximately what replace into being carried out to develop issues than what's being pronounced on the television.

There's a bigger issue at stake. Truth in the corporately owned news media is always second to profits.

90% of the mass media in the US is owned by 8 corporations. It's profit driven, and the first think they do is cut costly investigative reporting and just rely on safe, official sources (which used to be called propaganda), then they boost ratings by turning it into sensationalized infotainment, and then they bring on pundits turn it into a circus, carrying out messages from conservative think tanks funded by... the big corporations! The effect is a poor government watchdog , no discussing issues of class, and any complex issue important to democracy get 30 seconds of airtime.

Free speech and free press gives everyone the right to speak...Petition, letters of protest and letters to the editor often have weight....write to your elected officials and explain to them the details and ask them to forward the petition/letter.

The basic freedoms apply to everybody...not just the press. Speak out as you are doing on yahoo answers and write a blog and keep the matter of the reporter and the paper out front....advertisers will back off as well as subscriptions and newsstand purchases.

The point is to be relentless. Somebody will listen...Maybe not now or tomorrow or even next week, but bringing the matter up. Word of mouth works wonders as well...Free speech is your right as well...

DON'T GET MAD...GET EVEN.
