search the college campus papers, or place and add for some one driving that way on break...cheap and usually fun.. nothing like a road trip with college girls (or guys for that matter)

I always fly. Why do you say buses or trains suck? They are slower than flying but are okay. As mention, you can always rent a car, which would cost more than any of the above if you include gas. There are no other options other than ask a friend to drive you there or you can hitch-hike. The latter is not really a good option since it is dangerous.

You can take a bus to Toledo and there an Amtrak train to Boston. You will need to change trains at Albany.

If you purchase or made the reservation quite in advance the ticket is cheaper.

Flying or a rental car would be other options. Why are you going to Detroit? I grew up near there, and it's not that great. I'd stay in Boston if I were you.

You can fly, maybe it's even cheaper than driving! lol. Maybe you can take train, if there is any going to Detroit.
