Considering Anaheim just added Pronger on the blue line I have to go with the Ducks. At the end of last season though the Sharks were better. Brian Burke is a genius. Vancouver ownership were idiots to get rid of him, so watch for Anaheim to go far this year.

Offence, the Sharks have a better team with the first 2 lines centered by Thornton and Marleau and 50+ goal scorer Cheechoo.

Defence, it's no match. Anaheim has the best 2 defensemen in the league with Pronger and Niedermayer. This is by far going to be the best power play in the league with these 2 d-men on the point.

In goal, it's pretty much a wash. Each team is extremely inconsistent and can't seem to have a true #1 goalie setting himself apart from the other. There's a feud building in Anaheim due to lack of communication. As for San Jose, they're looking to unload one of their goalies, all signs point to Nabokov leaving the tank.

The Sharks. Thornton has found a home in San Jose. Their goaltending is more solid than Anaheim. They have better fans and a better logo even before Anaheim dropped the Disney crap. Anaheim has two great defensemen but I think the Sharks are more complete.

Going into next season, that would be considered a very difficult question for some. Let's break it down...the Sharks have good offense and some solid goaltending, but their defense is only average and solid goaltending won't go far if you don't have solid D in front of them. As for Anaheim, with the pickup of Pronger, the Ducks have probably the best defensive unit in the league and to add to that, they have solid goaltending as well, their forwards are not as good as the Sharks, but they can still put the puck in the net. In the end I would have to pick the Ducks because everyone knows the phrase, "Offense wins games, but defense wins championships"...Need I say more.

Anaheim. D's going to be rock solid with Niedermayer and Pronger.

I'd have to go with the Sharks. They went further in the playoffs and having Cheechoo and Thornton make them hard to root against.

Sharks.
But then again I'm from South Africa and the Sharks are a rugby team here. They are the best. Hope your Sharks are also the best!!!!!!!!!

Who cares? Neither one is in a position to win the Stanley Cup. Although with all the trading and the new salary cap I guess it's anyone's game.
