is there a way to find out if the email i sent through yahoo has been read by the recipient?

Sorry! There's nothing like that. Cause it would disrupt the privacy of the receipient.

After sending , all you have to do is to ask him for a reply as soon as he/she receive your message.
if he/she replies, he/she did read you message!
