The answer depends on a few things. your age, your health, and how the fetus is doing. Think about this. Your uterus is a muscle. It gets weak after it has been used, (like being stretched out to have a baby.) Each time you have a baby via the natural way, or by c-section, your uterus gets weaker. The number of c-sections that a doctor will safely perform for most Lady's is 3 to 4. Because with each one the risk of complications grows significantly.

theoretically, there is no limit to the number of times a woman can have caesarean sections. However, there are increased risk of complications with each successive caesarean section.

The operation gets more difficult each time because of scarring of the tissues. There may also be adhesions whereby different organs may be stucked together. For example, the bladder may be adhered to the uterus where the incision to deliver the baby is made. Or the intestines may be adhered to the uterus. These organs may be accidentally injured during the operation as a result.

There is also a risk of the uterus scar giving way (scar dehiscence or rupture) during or ever before labour starts. This may lead to asphyxiation or death of the baby. The mother may also lose a lot of blood as a result and the situation may be life threatening.

The 3rd problem is that of placenta accreta whereby the placental tissues invades into the muscle layer, the outer covering of the uterus, or even into the bladder. This may lead to torrential bleeding during the operation and the woman may need to have the uterus surgically removed as a result.

If a cesarean section is peerformed then there must be a need for this particular surgery. So if a woman is about to deliver and she is having problems delivering vaginally then there is no other choice but to have an emergency c-section. It doesn't matter if it was number 1 or number 21. The baby must be delivered safely. Although this may cause problems when mom wants to wear a bikini.

You are not suppost to have more than 3 c-sections in a lifetime.

But there is this one woman in the guinness book of world records that had all 11 of her kids by c-section.

I would ask a doctor but i have been told 3. I myself so far have had one c-section
