It seems to me that, on the one hand, the fact that reality (which we are a part of) exists is a striking thing, to say the least. I don't feel strongly about a 'creator' but I am certainly struck by the fact that this (reality) is going on. On the other hand, it doesn't seem to concern other people too much. I'm going by what I observe people saying- but I don' t talk about it much either (because no one else is). Is this a catch-22- people don't talk about it because no else is, or am I kind of weird? (I realize religion fills some of this role, explains the unexplainable.)

I believe most people can't talk about how they got to where they are because they themselves fear to upset the applecart. What your asking is not philosophy but actual events right? Besides most people think they live ordinary lives, never realizing that there is no such thing as ordinary. Being willing to share information with others goes against such ordinaryness and I applaud Yahoo for offering us a way to change the world, one answer at a time.

I, for one, am intrigued by consciousness and reality. So you are not alone. I can't think of any reasons for reality to exist, except that it just does. Most people probably don't think about it too much. They just accept this reality as the only one they know, and go on about their lives trying to pay the bills. But life is certainly a bizarre and somewhat pointless endeavour when you stop and analyze it.

People don't talk about it daily because there is no "answer" to it.

But there is plenty of discussion on it. Look up some philosophy forums on the web, there are plenty of people out there. I personally like ilovephilosophy.com
