It doesn't really matter, - they'll ruin any new name the choose.

Democrat use to mean democracy, - now it means pseudo-socialism.

Welfare use to mean -Health, happiness, and good fortune; well-being, now it mean free money to loafers.

Liberal used to mean generous and giving, - now it means stealing (taxing) and free money, and preferential treatment / quotas. (Affirmative Action).

.. ouch.. it's not the name stupid, - it's the mind-set !!

Welfare is just a small piece of what the democratic party stands for. If we want to start being specific, there could be many different names for the democratic party. It doesn't take long to think of many different things that the Dem's seem to be in favor of. I think a short list could be the... higher taxes, larger govt, anti-personal-responsibility... party.

Anyway, it is definitely time that we get away from a 2 party system. Unless you are an extreme righty or lefty, I don't see how you can totally agree 100% with either party and not be a hypocrite.

They already are the welfare party....they created the useless program. What is funny is that democrats actually believe their party when they say Republicans are for the rich, but not once have the Democrats issued only a tax cut to the middle class...and in fact the last dem to cut taxes was JFK, and guess what...the rich got a tax cut.....I think it is funny that when the dems raise taxes they raise everyones.

Taxes are used to cover government expenditures. You'd have to be completely out of touch with reality to not know that the GOP in control of the White House and Congress have been spending money as fast as they can print it. Faster actually. They've had to borrow hundreds of billions of dollars to cover their reckless programs.

When Clinton was in office, he shrunk the deficit and the debt EVERY single year he was in office. As soon as he left, and the GOP was left to it's own devices, they immediately plunged us back into massive debts and deficits.

You can ***** and moan about "tax and spend" Democrats all you want, but it doesn't change the cold hard reality. The Democrats are the party that brought fiscal responsibility and accountability to the government. The GOP is the party that spends like drunken sailors, and then doesn't bother to make sure they can cover the tab.

And for all your bitching and moaning about taxes being raised, let's take a look at what happened the last time taxes were raised. Hmmm....First Bush Sr. broke his pledge, and chose to be fiscally responsible by raising taxes to cover spending. Then Clinton raised taxes to curb the red ink left over from the Reagan years. What happened next? Oh, right. THE GREATEST ECONOMIC BOOM IN HISTORY. Yeah, thank god Bush saved us from the peace and prosperity of the 90's.

Pull your pants up, bee-yatch. Your spanking's over.

Iraq is a 2 trillion dollar welfare pit. Pres.bush is republican remember.

Taxes will be raised again because of the money we have spent in Iraq.

Iraq had nothing to do with terror in US or 911.

The republican majority spent your money, boy.
