I had a dream back when I was in middle school, this is what it was about:
It seemed as if I was in FL (I lived in FL at the time), it also seemed like I was older and in the future. I was on a sandy beach, but the strange thing was there was I could see water on both sides of the beach. It was as if I was standing on a strip of land. Water on both sides about less then a 1 / 4 of a mile on each side. There was others there, on lawn chairs looking at the water. I was there for something, I knew I was there for something. Then the strangest thing happened! Big huge waves came on both sides of the land at once, I wasn’t scared though. Instead I put my arms out beside me parallel to my main body, and opened up my hands. I had my head down, but I was standing up. It was like I was stopping the two waves in their tracks! I looked up and saw the two waves freeze into ice, and the waves stopped in their tracks, while people where just staring at the waves on both sides freezing. I told everyone to run to the main land which was far away actually (It seemed like that in my dream). The other strange thing was it was still warm in the air, not hot, but not cold, so how in the world was the waves frozen?! I put my hands down and the waves stayed frozen and I proceeded to leave to the main land. Then I woke up.
So what’s this dream all about?

To see yourself in your dream, is a reflection of how you act and behave in your waking life. "

I always dream like that, it's like watching a movie with me in it. Does that mean anything? Why do I always dream like that, and not in first person?

I'll tell you straight out, I'm no magician or fortune teller or anything like that, but I CAN offer you my two cents on it.
First, it might have been just one of those random dreams. You said it was when you were in middle school, so you were fairly young yet at the time. So, your subconscious mind might have been thinking about something having to do with being a super hero or having that of super natural qualities. Or maybe it's because it's a fantasy-twisted way of believing your different than everyone else, which you are.
Secondly, the waves could symbolize something. You were the only one who really took notice and action into the oncoming waves that could've wiped you and the on-lookers away into the ocean. So, it could symbolize your assertiveness to the world, meaning nothing can hold you back or hinder you, even when no one is willing to help you. This is an admirable trait, of course :).
Well.. that's my lecture ;).

this dream is a manifestation of the power that you have inside of you. The waves represented an obstacle which you fearlessly overcame. The air was hot, so while it seemed impossible to freeze the water you did it anyway. Telling everyone to run to the main land represented your ability to think rationally in emergency situations. Your dream is a way of your subconscious telling you, that you can save the day, and overcome obstacles that seem impossible conquer.

There are several things this dream could symbolize. It could be that you needed to overcome a fear of water. But more likely, this dream was about control and power....or the desire to have control and power. Perhaps, at the time, you felt that you had no control over your life, that other people were making all the decisions. This could have been your subconscious seizing control by controlling the waves. This dream also indicates that you would use your control and power responsibly because you helped the other people escape before you escaped yourself.

The meaning of this dream varies according to its details and action. The ocean, as such, is a good omen if calm, and a sign of mixed fortune if choppy. If it is very rough or stormy, it is a warning that real courage will be needed to overcome your obstacles. The following interpretations must also be modified by the weather conditions. An ocean voyage predicts a lucky escape from an irritating problem, and to swim in the ocean signifies that you will soon be enlarging your sphere of influence and/or activity.

I think it was about you. I don't know what the dream means but, this tells me a lot about you. Deep down inside your a brave and confident person. You are calm and are willing to help others when your able to what ever the circumstances. At least this is what your are capable of.
Believe in your abilities, be strong and calm the waves.

I used to do this a lot when I would read too much on one subject. If I were reading a series about vampires, i'd have nightmares about blood suckers, and so on. It's just something that stuck to my subconscious. One of my schoolteachers suggested that I keep a notepad beside my bed to write down those dreams. They were great.

Sounds like that you have an overwhelming need to help. Have you thought about getting involved in some kind of charity organization?

It was just a dream. Sometimes your subconsciousmind can make you dream weird things, but all in all it is just a dream and doesn't mean anything.
