What the...?! Why can't people spell and type a full word on here? This is not text messeging on a cell phone. You are typing and asking whole questions. C'mon people, ya went to grad school at least. Spell the whole damn word. I can understand a typo, but the whole question?!

I agree! There are so many people who either can't or won't type a complete word. Half the time I do understand what they are saying. It really scares me to think there are that many people who can not spell.

Amen!!!
I also use some slang in my writing, however, it is legible and understandable. It does get very frustrating trying to understand some of the answers and/or questions asked here, especially the ones that aren't even spell checked.

Grade school, I think you mean, as very few people attend graduate schools. =) Some people have gotten so accustomed to txt msgs that they don't feel the need to spell out words. Others just really don't care enough to spell it out. It is kind of sad, really.

It's like the people that answer questions with answers like "ask your mom" or "just screw it." You just have to ignore them.

why bother if you can be understood? me, i prefer not to use caps. shift keys slow me down. especially in emails and chat rooms, which are very informal methods of communication, i think you should just get your point accross the most efficient way possible. i like to think of it as the next best thing to speaking, except in this communication mode, you get to go over your thoughts before you blurt them out - so new and improved speaking, actually. =)

Maybe we are in a hurry. Also, i don't capatolize the word "i" b/c it's self centered. And i did b/c cuz it's quicker. I don't like towaste my time with grammar.
