The answer is - it depends.
Skipping meals may have their ups and downs - depending on the meal you skip.
TIP no. 1 - DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST - you may diet the whole day and just eat breakfast. Do not skip this meal because skipping it will push the hunger towards your lunch and dinner - making the situation worse! Eating a heavy breakfast will be burn throughout the day and when the day ends - you may still be full.
Tip 2: You may miss your lunch - try not eating at this time of the day everyday... your stomach will be used to it and most of the time - you will not crave... especially if you had a very serious breakfast.
Tip 3: Do not eat a lot during dinner! Dinner is the last meal of the day (if you have midnight snacks - don't bother eating them!), if you eat a lot and then go to sleep even after a few hours... you will gain weight. Remember: Digestion also occurs during sleep.
Tip 4: Lessen carbohydrates - do not eat above 500 calories of food especially if they are rich in carbs. Carbs turn to sugars and sugars turn to fat! Also try lessening your food intake! From the ideal 2000 calories - try bringing it down by 500. you will lose weight and fat for sure
Tip 5: Exercise - even if you diet - you will still have the fat in you... you have to workout - although you do not have to do crunches or bike the whole day... do a workout in which you really sweat - do not do shortcuts because they won't work!
Tip6: Try having a liquid diet once a week - it may seem difficult, right? Try not eating for a whole day... but have an intake of water as a replacement of your meals... it doesn't satisfy hunger huh? Wrong! make yourself full of water - but do not drown! This detoxifies your system... Then try increasing it to one and a half... well doing it regularly... you will feel dizzy... this is the toxins coming out of your body and when you fight it (esp the 2nd day) you will feel very light!
Tip 7: Do not be depressed! Depression will make you eat more!
And lastly, try combining the techniques - a group effort is better than trying them one at a time.
Hope you achieve your results!

Yes 12- 15 minutes of rope jumping burns off 200 calories, where as jogging would take 30 minutes to burn the same amount of calories. Also as for tummy toning you should try hula hooping.

I imagine any type of moving around enough to get your heartrate up there for a sustained amount of time every day would do the trick. Wear a good supportive bra if you're a woman, though, all that jumping in conjunction with gravity can have a detrimental effect on your bobalongs.

No.
No excercise would.
Excercise builds muscle from food, if you have no food it converts fat to energy.
Excercise all you want and respond to the increased hunger and you will never lose weight.
Excercise is good for toning after weight loss, and fitness.
Want to lose weight, then eat less or get it surgically removed, no other way.
Skipping is good for the heart and lungs, calves and maybe wrists.
Don't ever use just one type of excercise, it's boring and creates repetitive strain in one area.
