kinda the same thing, the computer has two types of memory, well really three, I guess. RAM-is random access memory. That's when you have like temporary internet files and such, and it stores them there for quick access later if needed. (kinda like our short-term memory) Then there's ROM-read only memory, this is hard wiring....programing that the computer goes through every time it does a process. There is also video memory, printer memory, etc...

Your question doesn't make sense. However, for you RAM stands for Random Access Memory. All name-brand computers sold today have at least 256 megabytes (MB) of RAM, the memory the computer uses while in operation. Video RAM, also measured in megabytes, is secondary RAM that works with the graphics processor to provide smooth video imaging and game play.
The HARD DRIVE is your computer's longterm data storage system. Given the disk space requirements of today's multimedia games, digital photos, and video files, bigger is better. You'll find hard drives ranging in size from 40 to 300 gigabytes (GB).

Yeah RAM is the computer's primary memory, but it also uses a page file on the hard drive when it runs out of RAM.

If your thinking of a hard drive memory, that is when the memory is saved and stored so ou can use it at a later time.
RAM stands for random access memory and is used for quickly loading softwares and programs once it has been loaded. But if you turn off your computer, that memory is deleted.

RAM is a form of memory. It's the "working memory" of your computer. You can also have video memory, ROM (read-only memory that is "permanent"), hard drive memory, etc. etc.
RAM stands for random access memory. Your computer can easily access it, and read and write over it millions of times.

It's the same difference. Memory is the generic term for most things that have that type of thing, i.e. video game memory cards, PDA's, phones and such. RAM is the "proper" term and is usually used to refer to computer memory modules like SDRAM, DRAM, DDR and so on.

Usually, the refer to the same thing --> Random Access Memory, so there's not difference.
Technically, however, Memory CAN (but usually doesn't) refer to ROM or Read-Only Memory.
Short answer: there's no difference.
