is there any way to lock up MW files so you have to enter a password in order to open them??

Dear Soul,

Step 1: Once you have completed your document there are only a few simple steps required to protect it. First left-click on the "Tools" menu and then select "Options" from the drop down menu.

Step 2: On the "Options" screen that appears you must left-click on the 'Security' tab to display the window .

Step 3: Once you have clicked on the 'Security Tab' you must enter a password in the 'Password to Open:' box. Doing this prevents anyone from being able to open the document without the password you assign.

Step 4: Click on OK once you have chosen a password. The window shown below will appear asking you to verify the password you entered.

So when you open the document you will asked for the given password .

I don't think so, but you can make them hidden, but that's hardly secure. I have a feeling there might be a compressing program that requires a password to decompress though... I might be making that up though.

Nope, I checked, and it looks like WinRAR can do this. You can download it for free.

open tools menu. then click options in tool menu. it will show a pop window. then you should choose save menu. and you will see "password to open" in left center and "password to modify' in right centre. now you can write there which you want to do and other information you can contact me at "rajesh_sharmakr@yahoo.co.in". i will help you any other topic which is related to any software if i can do it

yea.... you can set it password and lock open winword > go to tools > securtiy > password...
