Move the couch or a chair over the spot. Save money to replace the carpet or get a professional to repair the carpet. Quit playing with candles.

The first step is to saturate the spot with warm water, then apply a cleaner that contains Protein Enzymes; unfortunately, you may have to search high and low at a Hardware store or even a commercial cleaning supply outlet, as these are not easy to come by. Allow the the Protein Enzyme cleaner to sit at least 15 minutes, then scrub the spot in a motion away from you-don't do it in a circular manner. Spot dry the area with a dry rag-again, don't rub it, just spot dry. You will probably have to repeat this process a few times, but keep in mind to use the same scrubbing and drying techniques. A cleaner with Protein Enzymes work best and are colorfast and work well on tough carpet stains, it just takes a few repeated efforts to clear up the affected area.

in basic terms ensure the iron received't melt the carpet fabric ... try in a nook or in the back of a few furnishings. Wax melts at a low-ish temp, so the garments iron would not should be heated to warm. The paper should be of "blotter"high quality. the style that soaks up the ink of a marker pen. So layers of towelling paper are sturdy, or newspaper (ensure the print received't come off), etc.

Place a towel over the wax and get a clothes iron and place it over the towel, the heat from the iron will melt the wax and be absorbed into the towel then keep moving the towel until all the wax is absorbed

Try what Big Daddy wrote.

If it doesn't work,

cut a VERY neat cir cl out of the carpet, and replace the burnt sport with carpet of the same pattern that you took from a closet or under the couch or something.

IF YOU ARE UNDER 21 OR LIVING IN SOMEONE ELSE'S HOUSE OR APARTMENT, please talk tot hem before you start cutting into the carpet.

okay im not to sure about the newspaper but the candlewax comes up so much easier with a towel and you have to keep switching spots cause the towel can only absorb so much it may help with the newspaper if you damp the towel a little bit not sure though good luck.

Freeze the wax with ice or commercially available chemical designed to do so ( they are available at cleaning supplies stores) once frozen you can scrape the wax up.

Take a comb and try to brush it out. I loosens the wax into little pieces so you can vacum it all up.
