Ok, this is animated but, would you put muppets at least near the same genre? If so A Muppet Christmas Carol. It's funny, but warm and fuzzy, too. If that's not accepted as because it's not technically animated then..A Charlie Brown Christmas because it's sweet the way the discover the true meaning of Christmas, but still funny.

Hands down....The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Just the thought that a slimy character like the Grinch can change his evil ways makes Christmas all the more special. I watched it as a kid and its still a great animated special till this day. I felt sorry for his dog though. There were times where I wished he would bite the Grinch's leg and make a run for it.

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's so wonderfully animated, as well as charming and a different way of looking at Christmas.

The Grinch who stole Christmas - I can watch it over and over. Second place goes to A Charlie Brown Christmas. Both make me laugh and get excited for the holiday.

I loved all the Rankin/Bass holiday specials. Put one foot in front of the other and soon you'll be walking out the dooooo or! Remember Peter Cottontail? I loved that one too.
I would have to say Rudolph. How can you not feel sorry for the squirtgun that shoots jelly? I mean, come on!

I don't know if it's truly animated, but Rudolf. I used to be so scared of the Abominable when I was little, but I would still watch it every year. The songs were great. I always wanted Santa to bring the white elephant with pink spots from the Island of Misfit Toys.

Thats a darned good question............ that would be a toss-up between the Garfield Christmas or the Charlie Brown original. IT is a classic,........ while the Garfield one is just plain cool....... funny, and thoughtful... Its a good one! I dont like to miss either one, when it comes to Christmas specials.
