Why are these Avatar's racially limited?
I'm a quarter black and white and this stupid avatar doesn't look anything like me because there's no hairstyles to chose.

Even though you say your Avatar doesn't look like you, I think it's rather cute and you look very happy in it - with a nice big smile.
My avatar also doesn't look like me, but it has some of my characteristics - very short hair, blue eyes, white skin, etc. I am Jewish - does my Avatar look Jewish - absolutely not! So what? I don't think the Avatar has to look exactly like us. I don't think it's prejudice or bigotry - it's just reality - the Avatars are very limited and not just racially.
For example, I am 53 years old and my Avatar looks 20 yrs old or perhaps less. I think it's better to just take the Avatar as something fun rather than very seriously.
I tell you again, your Avatar is cute and please don't be upset about it. I think you are a very honest person and that's why you want your Avatar to look more like you. Very nice of you to be so truthful, but don't worry be happy as the song by Bobby McFerrin says.

Try uploading your own image you can use a photoshopping software to change the image.
Also contact Yahoo and ask for more styles.
Strangely enough my avatar look exactly like me.

I think it's because of the fact that we're minorities. It isn't fair! You should tell this to the people over the avatars...maybe they can make some improvements.

I'm hoping no one really looks like their avatar. With the female ones, you'd have to have giant alien eyes.
It would be better if you could adjust the skin and hair colour, and facial shape.

C'mon bro, they do their best. Do you really think they can actually make a style for everyone? You get what you get and you don't throw a fit. Use a real pic if you want it to look just like you.

it's just a picture, it does not have to look like we do in real life. I can't even get one, but if I knew how, I would get something I more or less like, not necessarily the one that looks like me.

you can darken the skin color and i agree there are too few styles to choose. and they should have some of old ppl cuz not only teens get on too
