I always hear about how hard it is to get a good customer, then I get sh!t on and threaten to take my business elsewhere and they basically say go! BankAmerica jumps into my mind recenlty, they kept charging fee's to an account that was closed (ihad several other accounts with them) they refused to take the fees off, after I had been to a branch and closed it (in good standing) The branch mananger said so sorry, you owe us money, I called customer service and still no help. Seems like a lot of businesses do this these days.

The marina I've stored my boat the last 10 years, a boat that was stored above mine leaked oil all into my boat, I wanted it repaired for free or else I threatened to take my business elsewhere, they basically said GO! they werent responsible??? I pay over 100 a month for that boat to sit there. Why am I paying them if they arent resposible for anything?

oh and btw, I own my own business and would never turn a customer such as myself away. Im polite, and pay my bills on time. I have businesses not pay me on time.

Yeah, I guess the boat was my fault, I didnt put the button up cover on that keeps stuff from entering the boat. Sometimes, well most every time they do it, but not always.

As a business owner you shouldn't complain. They are helping you more than they realize.
I consult small businesses who are struggling and it always boiles down to poor customer service.

If you have a happy customer...you have one for life.
If you have an agree customer...you have lost 100 potential.

BTW bad customer service is a huge pet peeve of mine.

The loss of one customer in the entire scheme of things is no of no concern, However, if you were to make an impact where a great many customers took their business elsewhere, then you would be hitting the business in the pocketbook.

About the marina...it probably is not their fault and if you read your lease you wil probably find it stated there. You need to persuade the owner of the boat that leaked the oil to pay for damages.

However, (again) he/she will probably tell you to sail on, unless you get an attorney. THAT might make the owner sit up and take notice.

About you never turning a customer away...you can't please everyone. There will always be some disgruntled customers no matter how hard you try to please them. Often they want something for free (like you wanted your boat fixed for free).

There is a criminal element that purposely acts disgruntled to get free things from the business. Not unlike people that stage auto accidents and commit fraud.

There will always be some unhappy customers. If they want to take their business elsewhere, you probably will be happier that they are gone than trying your best to please them.

bussiness, BIG bussiness are just that ,they care only to make $ and if they don't get it from u there are many more people waiting to take ur place..it is a real shame...
even though u got ripped off there are other places for u to do ur bussiness..small bussiness people need all the bussiness they can get that is why they treat thier customers better..try and bank at a smaller
'home town
' bank'//
ask a lawyer about the boat question..u maybe able to get the $ to fix it from the owners of the other boat....if the marina does not have insurance...
