It all depends on why your friends don't like him. Does he have a reputation for being abusive to girls? Does he drink too much or take drugs? Is he a criminal of some kind? In other words, are your friends trying to look out for your welfare. If this is the case them you should listen to them.
However, if they don't like him because you are spending more time with him than with them, they don't think he is handsome or they don't like his personality, then you have to decide if he is worth losing them as friends.
You choice of boyfriends is your decision, just as is your choice of girlfriends. Find out why they don't like him, weigh you options. Maybe, if he is worth it, you can help them see in him what you see. If they are truly your friends, and he is a nice guy, then they will come to understand how you feel. If either is not the case them you will have to make a choice.

If your friends know you well, they can probably see issues that could complicate things down the road more than you can at this time since you are emotionally involved.
Have a heart to heart talk with your friends and ask them WHY they don't like this guy. Then, weigh the pros and cons and make your own decision. If they are truly your friends, they will respect your choice--should you decide to enter into a relationship with the guy in question--and be there for you should things fall apart.

If theyre your real friends they will accept your feelings for this guy. If hes a good guy you have nothing to be ashamed of. But if hes some horny pothead who your friends have bad feelings about maybe there right. But go off of your gut, itll tell you whats right. If you like him, get to know him and see what happens from there.

Who cares what your friend's think!! Do you want to go the rest of your life wondering what your life may have been like if I was with this guy? If your friend's were true friend's they would support whatever you decide.

The first thing to remember is that your friends will not like everything that you like, whether it is guys or music. Would you stop listening to your favorite group if your friends did not like the group? If you would not stop listening, then why should you ignore some guy just because your friends do not like him?

Keep liking him and just talk with your friends, ask them what they dont like about him and try to debate in a civilised fashion about how and why he is a good guy.

hey trixie! you say that you really like this guy but you dont think your friends like him. remember your friends are your friends for a reason. and if my friends dont really care for someone i like. i usually pay attention. try not to fall for the guy to soon. keep your guard up. and be wise about someone that your friends or family are cautious of

Oh gosh!! I would dump him immediately!! You certainly would NOT want to go against your friends and be an individual and use your OWN brain to make decisions!! That might just be too much!

Well to be honest it doesn't make a bit of difference if your friends like him, they probably don't know him like you.and to be truthful they don't have to date him, you do.So instead of thinking who your friends would like, so concentrate on someone for you and worry about your own happiness not theirs

If you like him, explain to your friends why you like him. Let your friends get to know him too. If they are true friends they will stand behind whatever you do.
