My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and a month. Its his 23 birthday and he says he doesn't want anything. I really want to do something. Not too elaborate because I know he isn't going to get me anything for my birthday. What should I do?

wow alot of narrow minded answers! (bad experiences with the guys?!?)
anyhow i dont like anything big being made out of my birthday, the dinner answer was the best one listed, the xbox was just shallow and made by a materialistic guy (which your bf doesnt sound to be and he'd think it a waste) do something that will tell him you care about him. like i said the dinner was the best answer, if my wife were to make me dinner for my birthday i'd be more than happy (oh and dont forget the sentimental card for 2.69 that he'll tell you you didnt need to buy because he knows you love him)
oh and dont be surprised if he surprises you on your b-day ( i surprise my wife every year with more than she expects)

oh and about the no clothing answer, if my wife bought me a six pack of white hanes t's id wear them after all i replace my t's everymonth. and socks are good too.

You should cook him a nice dinner or bring some nice dinner home if you can't cook or are really bad at it, write him a nice card, model some nice lingerie for him, and well, you know ;]
After that, he'll have to get you something for your birthday.
