I was reading some peoples posts that stated that evolution could never happen not even in a trillian years. So I came to think, do people that don't believe in evolution come from less inteligent monkeys??

Just to clarify, some people are answering with, sciene doesnt prove evoltution. I just want to say that I am a student of biology, and know all about PUNC-E, for those of you out of the loop, its called Punctuated Equilibrium. And it doesnt disprove Evolution, but it in fact says the Evolution is punctuated, (ie, on and strong for a short amount of time and off and low for long period of time). The scientists who agree with this, have shown in their own right that the fossil record shows this, by its lack of evidence for a non-PUNC-E, evoltuion as Darwin described. So please don't try to turn this into some evolution fight, just trying to make some humor in the fact that some people don't believe in evoltion of any kind.

No matter how much evidence of evolution scientists may lie about they can never explain the origin of life. Every scientist that has ever lived has never been able to submit evidence of life itself. Even if they prove beyond a doubt the origin of species they'll never know what gave a single cell the intelligence to wiggle out of the ocean. With that being said, all they can do is look at a monkey skull, a human skull, then put a deformed skull in the middle and say they are all related so there is no God.

And for the record, those retards who believe in evolution usually believe in the big bang. It's funny how they can believe the entire cosmos appeared out of nowhere because the last time I checked nobody has ever seen a tree materialize out of thin air so how the h*ll can the entire cosmos appear out of nowhere.

I thought the less intelligent monkeys....were still monkeys. I mean, not all monkeys evolved or we wouldn't have any monkeys. Come to think of it, we shouldn't have any lesser species on this planet in any quantities if they had kept evolving into the next higher one from the begining. Only in the theory of evolution and X-Men comics do we see mutations leading to a higher type of creature. In the book, The Neck of the Giraffe, an excellent question is raised. Why aren't there any fossils of short necked giraffes? Surely if their long necks were the result of reaching for higher leaves over millenia, there should be plenty of fossils documenting this slow change. The fossil record has no evidence of these transitions. What we have are fully viable, reproducible creatures that have similiraties and therefore we come to the conclusion that some how they evolved from one another.

And if it were true that the giraffe evolved to have a longer neck in order to browse for leaves higher up in trees during time of severe drought, then all animals having shorter stature would have died off including female giraffes and baby giraffes.

Stop monkeying around......

Science cannot prove that evolution is what happened. The fossil record does not contain the evidence to support the theory. So maybe the people who don't believe in evolution see that side that believers in evolution refuse to see.

I'm a died-in-the-wool evolutionist ... but taking cheap shots at people's beliefs doesn't help the dialog much.

God, I wish you'd learn to spell EVOLUTION correctly!

As you can see from these posts, there are those out there who are ignorant of science, and those who are PROUD to be ignorant of science, and (worse), proud to be just plain pig ignorant!

And another thing ... evolution is not something to BELIEVE or not. The theory of evolution, as you are aware, has been supported by thousands of experiments and observations. It's basis is FACT, not belief. Religion is about belief and faith, not fact.

Dear one NO! because, each and everyone is entitled to their own belief. We acquire knowledge at different stages of our life and someone might not believe in something now but may change at a later day

No. Monkeys that ignore overwhelming empirical evidence have low fitness in nature. People on the other hand...

Evolution states that we all came from ameobas. I doubt that there are smart and dumb ameobas, so everyone came from the same place. It's only the insane that don't believe that we come from monkeys and ameobas.

Yes, perhaps... but less intelligent or not, they are easier to please and much happier. Those who believe in "intelligent design" can at least sleep at night knowing that mere random mechanics doesn't run the universe... cool, huh?
