Regularly, but only when the subject comes up on Yahoo!Answers. Other than that, rarely.
According to the reading I have done regarding hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), the brain, when it senses that blood sugar is low, will do sometimes strange things to get the blood sugar (glucose) out of storage and into the blood stream. Adrenaline is one sure way to do this. If thinking about dying causes you to get an adrenaline spurt, then low blood sugar is probably the cause.
Suggestion? The next time you start thinking about dying, go to the kitchen and get some protein, meat, a can of tuna or whatever, and eat it. Also have some carbohydrate, like a handful of chips, or some carrots/celery and some nuts or peanut butter. Eat at least 2 ounces of the protein. Then drink a glass of water and do something active like exercise or singing for 30 minutes. You may find your thought pattern has changed.
Chronic low blood sugar can also cause self-esteem problems, anger management problems and a whole bunch of other physical and mental nasties. You may want to check out the symptoms link on www.hufa.org, and see how you check out.

i've been thinking about dying a lot lately too. tomorrow i will be 49 years old :( i can't beleive it :( i don't want to turn 50 next year.. i have been so upset. i don't want to be a old person. so i wonder how ... maybe... i'd rather be dead than 50 year old woman. i don't know what i'll do - good thing my 4 kids still need me ... other wise i know exactly when i will be dying :(
as for you are concerned - you don't sound all that crazy :) and no matter how you feel today - tomorrow is another day - you won't always feel like this :) we just go through different stages in our life. sometimes we need to go through bad times to truely appreciate the better times :)

I am a Daughter, Wife and Mother that was just diagnosed with Breast Cancer, so lately I have done a lot of thinking about it, however prior to being sick, It crossed my mind in means of making sure everything was set up for my daughter in case that ever happened. Other then that I didn't think a lot about dying.
If you have obessing over death, then I suggest you get some therapy help. There is nothing wrong with Therapy. It can do someone lots of good. Hope all is well with you soon! :)

Depends on my mood. Depression causes the dark thoughts, happiness causes the lighter thoughts. If you're thinking about death often, it doesn't mean you're crazy. Simply means you're on the lower end of the emotion scale, or perhaps you're very philosophical. -shrugs- Could also mean someone's asked you a deep question. Or that you're wondering who'd get all your lovely things when you die.
