Why does EVERYBODY like MySpace?
What's tha big DEAL? Xanga is JUST as good as it. I actually think it's better. People get so offended when I say MySpace sux or somethin. I just don't get why people like MySpace so much. They hype it up to the point where they dang near worship it ot something. (Ok, well not that much, but still)

Really, there's not that much of a difference.
Myspace, you can just post random things and people wouldn't really give a crap. On Xanga, you would post a blog and it would usually describe your day or rants or whatever. It's hard to explain. Myspace you can post "bulletins" which are usually ways to post random things I guess. I don't know.
Myspace can also invite people to events. Like you can plan a party and invite all your friends who have a myspace and they would all know compared to having to find or call the friends and informing them.
You can also find out about many more bands on Myspace than Xanga. Well, I found that interesting. Whatever.
Myspace can also connect you to your friends and yeah... I don't know what you would like.
In a way, Xanga seems more personal than a Myspace. Myspace, you can do a lot more with, IMO.
I guess it depends on what you like. :] I bet I didn't make sense at all in this answer. Haha.

Myspace has more people, which can be good or awful. I'm not real familiar with Xanga, but I bet there are some slight differences in picture/video uploading and code types allowed.
Its almost a regional thing: some places Myspace is dominant and in other places nobody uses it.

Myspace seems to artificially inflate self esteem, I guess. People get that little fake ego boost with those 'top 8's. Xangas depend more on one's individuality because they're not formulaic. That's my take.

MySpace provides the people, everybody has MySpace, nobody has Xanga, oh wait sorry....... no one has Xanga except for you.

Myspace allows you to whore yourself more than Xanga. It's more focused on getting friends and lots of semi-nude pictures of people.

i'm a middle school english teacher and have found that even my students who say xanga sux have both xanga and myspace.....but it's also a fun-to-bash thing, for whatever reason they love to hate it which is really weird to me but i guess it makes them feel a notch above something that's technologically up to date to be able to say its dumb..... whatever.....

well. myspace gives people a chance to be vain as f*ck and take picutere after picture of themselves and post it. also its easier to get raped! COOL!
